Innovation & Performance

This was demonstrated and emphasized by our ultrasound specialists from Switzerland and Italy at the Plast 2018, the largest and most important southern European plastics trade fair, which was recently held in Milan.

It was mainly Italian visitors who poured heavily on this year's Plast - certainly an expression of the continuing boom in the plastics industry there. At our booth a special processing-technical novelty was presented: The torsional ultrasonic welding (SONIQTWIST®) of sensor holders on automotive bumpers made of thin wall technology (exhibit: Skoda Octavia). The patented and extremely gentle welding process makes it possible to significantly reduce the wall thickness without visible marks on Class A surfaces of already painted vehicle parts. In addition to saving weight, this also makes significant cost savings possible.

"We made an excellent appearance at Plast in Milan. Due to the good discussions and the many new prospects, we have a lot of positive things to work up in the next few months" was the satisfied trade fair conclusion of Jochen Branscheid and is already looking forward to the next Plast in three years.
