This year’s event was held in conjunction with the “Electric & Hybrid Vehicle Technology Expo” and the “Critical Power Expo”.  As a result of this arrangement, the 2016 edition had by far the biggest turnout the show has ever experienced.  There visitors were not only interested in battery applications, but also in areas such as high voltage terminations and power management of vehicles.

The trend with battery manufacturers continues to be moving towards smaller packaging and the automation of processes.  As for cable termination applications, the automotive industry appears to be investing in the exploration of larger cables and at the same time using aluminum stranding construction for weight and cost reduction.
