University of Ilmenau, Germany confirmed the efficiency of the PowerWheel® process
In a series of studies at the Faculty of Mechanical
Engineering of the Technical University of Ilmenau, headed by Univ.-Prof. Dr.
Ing hab. Jean Pierre Bergmann the welds were carried out with TELSONIC's PowerWheel®
system.
Due to the bow segmental motion of the sonotrode an amplitude maximization is achieved. This allows narrower welds and also space savings. The experiments clearly demonstrate that the PowerWheel® method can significantly improve the compactions of wires.
